Finding Me and Embracing You

As a child, dancing in the rain was a cherished pastime. However, I only rekindled this playful art well into my 40s, prompting me to reflect on why I hadn’t embraced it earlier.

Throughout my transformative journey, marked by diverse experiences in various times and spaces, I made a conscious decision to delve deeper into self-exploration. One vivid memory stands out – a lunch at a local vegan restaurant during my tent-dwelling phase.

Caught in the middle of a rain shower, I abruptly left a conversation with two delightful individuals. When questioned about my destination, I gleefully shouted back that I was off to dance naked in the rain and take a shower. Perplexed, they wondered why I chose the rain over the comforts of an indoor shower. The truth was, I didn’t have that luxury at the time.

Engaging in this spontaneous rain dance not only reignited the child in me but also unveiled layers of self-awareness, liberating me from numerous inhibitions. So, I pose a question to you today: have you stopped playing?
